Frequently asked questions.
What should I expect during my first treatment?
Your first session will begin with a short consultation to understand your health history and wellbeing goals. You’ll remain fully clothes except for your feet and lower legs, and you’ll relax on an adjustable bed so you can lay back or sit up during the session of you wish while I work on specific reflex points on your feet using a combination of pressure and massage techniques.
Does Reflexology tickle or hurt?
Reflexology should never tickle or be painful. Most people find it deeply relaxing. If a particular area feels tender, I’ll adjust the pressure accordingly - it sometimes indicated an area of imbalance in the body.
How long does a session last?
Your first session will last 60 minutes, This is including a 15minute consultation time and 45minutes working on your feet. All other follow on sessions will be 55minutes, this allows for 5 minutes at the start of the session to get comfortable and relaxed, 45 minute hands on the feet and 5 minutes afterwards before leaving.
Children and adolescent sessions are slightly shorter and you can find details of these sessions on the treatment page.
How should I prepare for my sessions?
There’s no special preparation needed. Just arrive in comfortable clothing and try and avoid a heavy meal right before your treatment.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on your individual needs. Some clients come for a one off relaxing session, while others book regular treatments for ongoing stress relief, hormonal support or chronic conditions. We can discuss a treatment plan that suits you best

However, it’s important to let me know if you’re pregnant or trying to conceive , as I tailor the treatment accordingly. If in doubt, I always recommend checking with your midwife or GP first.
Can Reflexology help with anxiety or stress?
